IMPERFECT INDICATIVE
IMPERFECTO
DE INDICATIVO
At
the beginning I said there are seven simple tenses and seven compound tenses,
that means you have to know how to change from the present tense to the other
tenses, like how to make the verb say ( was, did, will, would, etc.) To do that
you have to learn how to change the end of the verb. Lets see how to make the
verbs ( ir, er, ar )change from the present indicative
to the imperfect indicative(was), The imperfect tense is used for things that
( used to happen or were happening) e.g. I used to play tennis, I was going
to the beach etc. It is often used to describe situations in the past e.g. it
was raining, he was wearing a hat. To form the imperfect, add one of two sets
of endings to the stem of the verb, the AR verb
put (aba), at the, ER and
IR, put (ía),look at the deference from
the present tense to the imperfect tense.
